I realize that this is a stretch, but, I'm wondering if anyone has an original Felicity pattern that they would be willing to part with for a reasonable price, or, (even bigger stretch), would loan to me.
I've been trying to catch one on Ebay for months, and haven't been successful.
I have a piece of fabric here that's desperately crying to be made up for Felicity, and I have a beautiful piece of velvet to make the cape out of.
I've looked at the current patterns (Simp, Vogue, etc.) and they're still just not right.
    Thanks.
    A desperate, pleading Mom.

The original patterns don't have a cape for Felicity. Try butterick 5110 for the cape eliminating the hand openings.
I've seen some cute Felcity dresses made from Mccalls 3627 This pattern has the hat styles, too.

The thing to remember is to make the skirt floor length. Also, each of Felicity's dresses has side seams with an opening about an inch long from the waistline to the hip. This is so she can reach her pockets. I think the AG patterns have pleats instead of gathers for her skirts. That's the only difference.

I think it's more fun to design my own interpretation of period fashions. This is what I've been doing for a while now.

    Hope it helps.

Thanks, Michele. I didn't realize that. I'd be able to come up with my own pattern for a cape, probably. -Stacird

Thanks to Nancy and Michele for their help.
I'm hoping to make something with the round neckline like several of Felicity's dresses have.
So, I'm bumping this back up to the top in case there's someone who can help me that didn't see it.
You gals are so knowledgable in this AG world. We've not been at it very long. I learn something new everytime I get on here to read.
Thanks for sharing what you know.

    I suggest this website:

    http://www.longago.com/pastcrafts.html

They have bunches of felicity style, period correct patterns.

Interesting site, Nann. I have to ask if anyone else is reminded of Bedknobs and Broomsticks when they see clothing without hands floating in the air like that.

Oh good, Im glad you saw the post. It got pushed so far down I was afraid you did not see it.

I have ordered one pattern from this company and just want to tell you to be sure to cut it out carefully. The patterns appear to be drawn freehand and you may have to straighten a line or two.

    Good luck.
